My first blog entry!
Well my name is Angela and I am a Advertising/ PR major with a Marketing and Communications minor. I transferred into UT from HCC (a local community college) where I was originally a business major. Sadly, that didn't last long...
I also do a lot of theatre and musical theatre in my spare time. I have not been able to audition for any UT productions but I hope to this next year. I do however work with theatres in the Tampa Bay, Gulfport, and St. Pete areas. My most recent production was in Tampa as Hope in "Urinetown - The Musical." Yes...as in pee. That's the one question I get all the time. If you are interested it won a Tony Award and everything. Google it or look up some stuff on YouTube. It's a great show!
About the class...I thought the first meeting was great. The only concern I had was with projects and everything, but as long as I'm taught how to do something I'll be fine. The assignment with the Ascii Art - I really hope I did correctly! I did mine by hand because I didn't know how to on my computer. I have Vista and a new Word program so I wasn't sure how to get it to work. So that's that...but I hope it's right! But I do think the class is going to be great and very useful. I am looking forward to a good semester - it's my first summer session! The campus is deserted, but still nice. =)
Right now I am in Orlando at Universal - 11:57 at night typing. I am here with my boyfriend, who is asleep and our best friend Scott! We are waking up to go to Islands of Adventure so I am definitely looking forward to a break! Until next time...
